Key Dates

The following sets out anticipated milestones in the planning process for the development. These dates are subject to change as we work through the planning process with Council and the local community.

PROJECT TEAM APPOINTED
Together with the Parish, the Diocese of Broken Bay and the Catholic Schools Office, we appointed a comprehensive team of consultants including Architectus as our architect, Turf Design as our landscape architect.

MASTER PLANNING INVESTIGATIONS
In discussions with the Parish, we worked through the challenges and opportunities of a new master plan for the site to determine the best outcome for all stakeholders.

CONCEPT DESIGN DEVELOPED
The master plan was developed into a concept design, which was presented to the Parish, to Council via a formal pre-DA meeting, and to the Design Excellence Advisory Panel.

PUBLIC CONSULTATION AND DETAILED DESIGN
A detailed design for the site was developed through further consultation with both the Parish and general public.

DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION PREPARED
After gathering feedback, the detailed design and various consultant reports were finalised to form part of our Development Application.

DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION LODGED (AUGUST 2018)
The Development Application was lodged with City of Parramatta Council in August 2018 for formal assessment.

COUNCIL ASSESSMENT AND REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION
Council and other state agencies reviewed the application, issued Requests for Information where required, and made a recommendation for Approval to the Sydney Central City Planning Panel.

PLANNING PANEL DETERMINATION
The Sydney Central City Planning Panel approved the Development Application on 11 May 2020.

DETAILED DESIGN
The Development Application plans will now be further developed into a more detailed set of plans in preparation for construction. This is a highly-involved and lengthly process that will take some time to complete.

SCHOOL RELOCATION
St Agatha’s Catholic Primary School will welcome the students and teachers of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Primary school for a temporary occupancy until the delivery of the new school.

REDEVELOPMENT COMMENCES
Once the school has relocated, Stockland begins the process of redeveloping the site, but not before the Parish, School and neighbours have been consulted about how construction will occur. We will keep the community closely informed well in advance of work starting.
